Guys recently i have been to one of the drought effected area in Maharashtra - District BEED - the situation which we can experience there will be soul shaking - media has tried to give us the picture but the actual reality is more severe. People have left their homes and living in camps or migrating towards the metros in search of some work for their livelihoods. as any natural calamity will not discriminate, the same is so for this one as well everybody - children, women, oldies all are suffering.
i think now the time has arrived to TAKE WATER MORE SERIOUSLY..... Bharat in India can sustain the economic differences between itself and India up to a certain extent, but will not be able to do so in case of natural resources.
At MTC we now have to think about the role of technology in terms of natural resource conservation or alternate resource creation wherever possible. also we need to work on the immediate solution with direct impact which we can provide to the effected area.
